he MRI Wheelchair – Large 22" is a non-magnetic, MRI conditional wheelchair designed for safe patient transport in and around the MRI suite. Constructed entirely from non-magnetic materials, including specialist polymers and non-magnetic metals used for fasteners and bearings, it helps reduce the risk of introducing unsuitable ferromagnetic equipment into controlled MRI areas.
The larger 22" seat width, equal to approximately 559mm, provides additional patient space compared with a standard MRI wheelchair, making it suitable for departments that require a wider seating option while still maintaining MRI-compatible construction. The rear storage pocket displays “MR” prominently, helping staff quickly identify the chair as suitable for MRI use and reducing the chance of it being confused with a standard hospital wheelchair.
With push-to-lock wheel locks, solid front castors and solid rear wheels, the chair is designed as a practical, durable and easy-to-manage transport solution for MRI departments. It is MR conditional up to 7 Tesla, has a user weight capacity of 160kg, and is available in burgundy or green.
