PATIENT POSITIONING
Interventional Platforms
Purpose-designed platforms that provide stable, repeatable patient positioning for retrograde and antegrade procedures reducing repositioning time and supporting optimal access angles.
POSITIONING PLATFORM
Retrograde IR Platform
Provides a stable, elevated position for retrograde access procedures. Designed to reduce table clutter and give the IR team unobstructed access.
- Radiolucent construction — no image artefact
- Compatible with standard IR tables
- Supports retrograde access positioning
- Cleanable, wipe-down surface
POSITIONING PLATFORM
Antegrade IR Platform
Optimised for antegrade access procedures. Provides a secure, elevated support position that improves team ergonomics and minimises repositioning between cases.
- Radiolucent — fluoroscopy safe
- Stable, non-slip patient surface
- Designed for antegrade lower limb access
- East to store and transport
Arm Positioning & Radial Access
OVERARM POSITIONING
Overhead Arm Support
MR-safe overhead arm support providing comfortable, stable arm positioning for extended procedures. Reduces patient movement and improves operator access.
- MR safe - suitable for hybrid environments
- Adjustable height and angle
- Comfortable padded support surface
- Quick to fit and remove
RADIAL ACCESS
Starboard Plus - Star System
The Star System supports transradial access by holding the arm in the optimal position throughout the procedure. Reduces operator strain and supports consistent access point geometry.
- Designed for transradial IR procedures
- Stable, repeatable arm positioning
- Table-compatible mounting
- Radiolucent — no fluoroscopy interference
Support the operator and patient during transradial and transbrachial procedures. These systems reduce fatigue, improve access repeatability, and are designed for the constraints of the IR table environment.
X-Ray Barriers for IR Suites
Mobile and table-mounted X-ray barriers that reduce scatter radiation to staff without impeding workflow. Essential for high-dose interventional procedures where prolonged fluoroscopy is unavoidable.
MOBILE X-RAY BARRIERS
TABLE-MOUNTED X-RAY BARRIERS
MOBILE BARRIER
WHEELED MOBILE CURTAIN BARRIER.
Freestanding lead-equivalent barrier on castors for flexible positioning anywhere in the IR suite.
MOBILE BARRIER
VARIABLE HEIGHT BARRIER.
Variable height barrier, wheeled for easy positioning. The window can be raised and lowered between 115 cm and 188 cm high
TABLE BARRIER
TABLE BARRIERS
Kenex table barriers provide flexible radiation protection at the table side, helping reduce scatter exposure during X-ray, fluoroscopy and interventional imaging procedures.
TABLE BARRIER
MULTI USE TABLE SHIELD
Multi-use table shields provide flexible radiation protection for theatre and interventional environments
MOBILE BARRIER
VARIABLE HEIGHT BARRIER.
Variable height barrier, wheeled for easy positioning. The window can be raised and lowered between 115 cm and 188 cm high
COMMON QUESTIONS
Frequently Asked
Questions from IR suite managers and procurement leads.
Are the positioning platforms compatible with our angiographic table?
The Adept range is designed to be compatible with most major angiographic table manufacturers including Philips, Siemens, GE, and Canon. Contact us with your table model and we'll confirm compatibility..
Are all products radiolucent?
Yes, all positioning platforms and arm supports in the range are fully radiolucent and will not produce artefacts on fluoroscopic imaging. X-ray barriers are lead-equivalent and are positioned to protect staff rather than pass through the imaging field.
Can we order on an NHS purchase order?
Yes. Rothband supplies NHS trusts directly on purchase order. We are also available through NHS Supply Chain and can support framework procurement routes. Contact our sales team for account setup.
What is the lead time for non-stock items?
Stock items are typically despatched within 1–3 working days. Non-stock or custom items will have lead times confirmed at point of enquiry. Contact us and we'll give you an accurate timescale.
Do you offer a trial or demonstration?
Yes, for larger orders or suite configurations we can arrange a demonstration. Speak to our clinical team and we'll discuss what's possible for your department.
How do I clean and maintain the platforms?
All surfaces are designed for wipe-down cleaning with standard hospital-approved disinfectants. Specific cleaning guidance is provided with each product. Contact us if you need a material compatibility data sheet.
