MRI Wheelchair - Standard 18"

The MRI Wheelchair – Standard 18" is a non-ferromagnetic, MRI conditional wheelchair designed for safe patient transport in and around the MRI suite. Constructed entirely from non-magnetic materials, including aluminium, brass, titanium and specialist polymers, it helps reduce the risk of introducing ferromagnetic equipment into controlled MRI areas. 

A rear storage pocket displays “MR” prominently, helping staff quickly identify the chair as MRI suitable and reducing the risk of it being confused with standard hospital wheelchairs. The wheelchair has also been tested and certified by Kopp Development to pass through FerrAlert ferromagnetic detection systems. 

Although listed as the Standard 18" model, the Rothband specification shows a 20" seat width, equal to approximately 508mm. The chair has an overall width of approximately 711mm, an overall depth of 914mm, and an overall height of 914mm. With a weight of around 14.1kg and a user weight capacity of approximately 136kg, it provides a practical and easy-to-handle solution for MRI departments requiring reliable non-magnetic patient transport.
