The FP01 Dartex set is our most durable offering, combining a supportive foam core with a medical-grade technical fabric cover. This set is designed to last years in a busy hospital environment while providing a colorful, professional look to your room.
Set Includes: 1x Rectangular Block, 1x D-Shaped Block, 2x 20° Wedges, and 2x 45° Wedges
Infection Control: The fluid-proof, multi-stretch polyurethane cover is incredibly easy to clean and highly resistant to chemical wear.
Variety of Colours: Available in a range of vibrant colors to help with department organization or to create a more welcoming environment for pediatric patients.
Patient Care: The Dartex material is skin-friendly and breathable, reducing the risk of skin irritation during longer procedures.
Note: While highly radiolucent, the stitched or welded seams may produce slight edge artefacts; ideal for general positioning where the central area of interest is on the pad surface.
Wipeable cover foam may produce image artefact along edges.
It must be x-rayed before use to determine suitability for x-ray transmission.
Should always be x-rayed on purchase to ensure no metallic objects are present.

- Ultimate Hygiene & Durability: The Dartex cover provides a 100% fluid-proof barrier. Unlike bare foam, these blocks can be aggressively cleaned with heavy-duty hospital disinfectants without damaging the foam core. The material is also "stretchable," which prevents the cover from cracking or tearing under the weight of a patient.
- Patient Skin Integrity: Dartex is designed to be breathable and moisture-vapor permeable. This reduces heat build-up and protects the patient's skin during longer procedures, making it a "skin-friendly" alternative to vinyl-covered pads.
- Edge Artefact Awareness: Because these blocks are sewn or welded to create a complete seal, there may be slight edge artefacts (lines) visible on the X-ray where the fabric overlaps or seams are located. However, for most general positioning where the area of interest is centered on the block, this provides a highly durable and reusable solution.
- Aesthetic & Organizational Variety: To help with department organization or branding, these blocks are available in a variety of colours. This allows for easy identification of specific sets or adds a modern look to your imaging suite.
